Making the Best of National Field Hockey Day

Sept. 14, 2018, 10:50 a.m. (ET)

National Field Hockey Day is in full swing. Every September 14 marks a day USA Field Hockey and others can celebrate field hockey as one of the most popular sports on earth. The fun and festivities don’t need to halt in just 24 hours. With the weekend coming up, here are some creative, quick and thoughtful ways athletes, coaches, umpires and fans of the game can do in your local community to help Grow the Game, Serve Members and Succeed Internationally.

Get Out and Play!
Whether your next game is this weekend or have the urge to practice your stick skills, grab a friend, grab a sibling, nudge a teammate and play!

Coach, Mentor, Share
On the field, off the field. In your backyard or down the block. National Field Hockey Day is about celebrating and sharing the game you love. Use that inspiration today and through the weekend to inform someone what you know, teach the game to someone new and share the love of field hockey.

Wherever and however you are celebrating National Field Hockey Day, join the conversation on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram by using #NFHDay2018. You can also use USA Field Hockey’s National Field Hockey Day 2018 profile frame on Facebook by clicking here.
