USA Field Hockey Announces Simon Hoskins as Summit Welcome Reception Speaker

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - January 13, 2018 USA Field Hockey is pleased to announce Simon Hoskins, USA Field Hockey's Executive Director, will be one of the welcome reception speakers at the inaugural 2018 USA Field Hockey Summit, presented by AstroTurf. Hoskins has worked in the sports industry for more than 20 years and has been a part of the organization since November 2008. His plethora of knowledge has aided in projecting USA Field Hockey forward as the organization seeks to follow the mission of Grow the GameServe Members and Succeed Internationally.

Hoskins is currently the Executive Director of USA Field Hockey, a position he was promoted to in April 2015. Prior to taking on the organization's leadership role, Hoskins was the Chief Operating Officer since January 2013, where he was responsible for overseeing the marketing, commercial, communications and memberships departments. He began his career with USA Field Hockey in November 2008 as the Director of Brand Development.

He has worked in the sports industry for more than 20 years, including stints at the Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games and the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer. Hoskins was also involved with Watford FC in the English Premiership and Saracens in the Rugby Premiership, held marketing roles with Premiership Rugby and England Rugby, and a sponsorship role with Vail Resorts.

Hoskins currently resides in Denver, Colo. but grew up playing hockey in England. He received his Master’s in Sports Marketing from the University of Oregon and his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Recreation Management from Loughborough University.

He loves working for USA Field Hockey as he can make a positive impact through the programming to enable each member to be the best athlete, coach or umpire, and person they can be, from young people just starting out in the game through to Olympians.
