2019 National Indoor Tournament Qualifiers Host Sites Announced

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - August 7, 2018 - With the summer wrapping up and outdoor teams running head long into the fall season, it’s hard to believe indoor field hockey is not far off! As the indoor season approaches, USA Field Hockey is proud to announce the host locations for the 2019 National Indoor Tournament Qualifiers (NITQ) for the U-16 and U-19 Girls divisions. The qualifying period kicks off Saturday, December 15, 2018, with nearly 600 teams competing at a total of 36 different qualifier locations over the following weeks, battling for spots in the 2019 National Indoor Tournament (NIT), presented by YOLO Sportswear.

Online registration for the U-16 and U-19 Girls Division NITQs will open on Wednesday, September 12 at 12:00 p.m. ET. USA Field Hockey will be sending communications by email to all Member Clubs with more details on Wednesday, August 15. Stay tuned for more updates.

Registration for the U-10/U-12 Co-Ed, U-14 and Boys’ Tournament will also open on Wednesday, September 12 at 12:00 p.m. ET. Be sure your team gets registered to be a part of the action, and see below for a few quick details on both the NITQ and NIT.

  • Teams that place first in their pool after pool play concludes at an NITQ will be guaranteed a placing of no lower than fourth at their respective Qualifier. These teams will then participate in a 1st vs. 1st place crossover round to determine 1st - 4th place at the Qualifier.
  • Registration fees for the 2019 NITQ across both age divisions will be $650 per team.
  • Registration fees for the 2019 U-10/U-12 Co-Ed and U-14 NIT will be $1,100 per team, and the registration fee for the Men's, Women's and Boys’ NIT will be $750 per team.
