COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – April 16, 2018 – USA Field Hockey will be opening up its second registration session starting at 12:00 p.m. ET Friday, April 20, 2018 for the 2018 National Hockey Festival, presented by CranBarry. This second registration session will be opening up age division offerings previously not available to register for in the first registration session. Going into its 37th year running, the National Hockey Festival has become one of the world’s most recognizable outdoor field hockey events and will be returning to the beautiful palm beaches of Florida at the International Polo Club in Palm Beach County, Fla.

The first registration session, open as of 12:00pm ET on Friday, April 13, 2018, is currently allowing clubs to register for only the U-16 Girls (11v11) and U-19 Girls (11v11) divisions. During this first registration period, clubs are currently allowed to register only one team per club in each of the U-16 Girls (11v11) and U-19 Girls (11v11) divisions so that well-rounded club diversity can be achieved in these high demand divisions.

Beginning on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. ET, a second registration period will open that will allow clubs to register teams across all U-12 Co-Ed (7v7), U-14 Girls (7v7 and 11v11), U-16 Girls (11v11), U-17 Boys (7v7), U-19 Girls (11v11) and Adult Open and Mixed divisions (11v11). Clubs are not limited to the number of teams they can register starting April 20, 2018 and may register until the divisions are at capacity, or until the initial registration deadline of Friday, June 29, 2018 at 11:59pm ET. Teams that register after a division is full or after the registration deadline will be put on a waitlist.

The 2018 National Hockey Festival will feature several different, and new, age divisions. Similar to last year, 2018 will feature play for U-12 Co-Ed (7v7), U-14 Girls (7v7), U-16 Girls, U-19 Girls and Adults in an Open and Mixed division. For the first time, the U-14 Girls division will be facilitated as both a half sided (7v7) and full sided (11v11) play style. Additionally, Festival will be introducing a U-17 Boys division that will feature half field (7v7) play, team based and individual based registrations to create house teams.

*Individual athlete registration is not to be used for clubs registering a full U-17 Boys team*

Registration information for ancillary event offerings, such as player, coach and umpire development opportunities will be communicated in future pre-event email communication.
