Plan Your Field Hockey Field Trip to Louisville, Ky. for the NCAA Final Four

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - November 3, 2017 - Get ready field hockey fans! The perfect weekend of collegiate hockey is almost here! This year, the NCAA Division I, Division II and Division III National Field Hockey Championships will be played back-to-back, on the same day, at the same location. University of Louisville's beautiful Trager Field will be the crowning site for three National Champions on Sunday, November 19, 2017.

Over the next month, teams will work tirelessly to advance and eventually punch their tickets to the NCAA Semifinals, also known as the Big Show. All semifinal games will be played in Louisville, Ky. on Friday, November 17. The Division I games will be played at the University of Louisville, while the Division II and Division III games will be played at Bellarmine University. While we don't know the set teams, all game times are confirmed, and you won't want to miss the action.

USA Field Hockey has joined forces with the Louisville Sports Commission, National Field Hockey Coaches Association and Kentucky Field Hockey Coaches Association and will be hosting several additional events to make this a fantastic weekend for field hockey enthusiasts.

  • Friday features six semifinal games throughout all three Divisions.
    • Division I at the University of Louisville
      • Semifinal 1: 2:00 p.m. ET
      • Semifinal 2: 4:45 p.m. ET
    • Division II at Bellarmine University
      • Semifinal 1: 10:00 a.m. ET
      • Semifinal 2: 1:00 p.m. ET
    • Division III at Bellarmine University
      • Semifinal 1: 4:00 p.m. ET
      • Semifinal 2: 7:00 p.m ET
  • Friday evening features the Victory Sports Tours/NFHCA Division I Senior Game at 7:00 p.m. ET.

  • Get together at The Sports & Social Club in Louisville's Downtown area from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. ET. This is an opportunity  to mix and mingle with fellow field hockey fans prior to the Victory Sports Tours/NFHCA Division III Senior Game at 5:00 p.m. ET and Division II Senior Game at 7:00 p.m. ET.

There's something for everyone on Sunday morning before the NCAA Championship games begin.

  • New and Experienced Players - New and experienced players are invited to a Celebration of Field Hockey and Learn to Play Day at Mercy Academy from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. This event is free for kids 5+ and parents. No experience is necessary and equipment is provided to those that do not have it. This is also your chance to meet and play with three-time Olympian and former captain of the U.S. Women’s National Team, Lauren Crandall. She will be assisting with the event and signing autographs.   • Coaches - Coaches of all levels are invited to join us at University of Louisville from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. ET for a panel discussion and Q&A with experienced NCAA College Coaches. Discussion will focus on attack and defense strategies and what to watch for in the championship games. This event is free and all interested are welcome to attend. Click here to register.
  • Umpires - Umpires of all levels are invited to come to the University of Louisville from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. on Sunday morning for a panel discussion featuring NCAA and international umpires. Topics will include game management and what to watch for in the championship games. This event is free and all interested are welcome to attend. Click here to register.

Finally, the main event! The NCAA National Championship Games!

The NCAA Championship Game schedule is as follows. All matches are taking place at the University of Louisville’s Trager Field.

  • 11:00 a.m. ET – Division II
  • 2:00 p.m. ET – Division I
  • 5:00 p.m. ET – Division III
