USA Field Hockey will be featuring weekly spotlights of U.S. U-21 Women's National Team members selected to represent Team USA at the women's Hockey Junior World Cup 2016 (JWC).
She was deemed the worst singer by her collegiate team and loves vacationing in Mexico. Both her and her brother wear the same jersey number in their sport. She enjoys going to her grandparents' house with all of her cousins and her favorite television show is Forensic Files. Meet U.S. U-21 Women's National Team member Gab Major.
Gab is from Royersford, Pa., which is about 30 minutes outside of Philadelphia. She still loves to go home on breaks during the school year and spend time with friends and family, especially her cousin, Alyssa, and older brother, Paul. Her brother is a current senior at the University of Delaware, where he plays lacrosse, and Alyssa plays field hockey at their rival school Duke, just 20 minutes down the road. This is a (sometimes) fun rivalry, but gives her grandparents a good deal of stress.
In her free time, Gab said there is nothing she loves more than hanging out with her friends in Smurf. Her favorite television show is Forensic Files and she often gets told she is too attached to the cases in the show. Another fun fact is that she needs at least four cups of coffee to get her through the day. Although her favorite music artist is Lil Wayne, she was named the worst singer on her UNC Field Hockey Team.
After graduation she plans on applying to nursing school in Philadelphia, or somewhere close to home.
