US Mens Indoor Squad announced

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. - Today, Andrew Thornton, Head Coach of the U.S. Men’s Indoor Team, announced 22 athletes to the U.S. Men’s National Indoor Squad. The athletes were selected to the squad based on their performance at the National Indoor Trials in Spring City, Pa. and Moorpark, Cali. earlier this year.

"I am excited to announce the 2012-13 U.S. Men's Indoor Squad. I believe we have a good mix of youth and experience and look forward to taking a team to Chile to compete in the Pan Am Indoor Championships," said Thornton.

The athletes selected have begun preparations for the 6th Pan Am Indoor Championships coming up this August in Chile. In addition, the Squad will compete at the Big Apple Indoor event in February 2013.

“We hope to continue the success of the Indoor program in Chile and build towards qualifying for the next Indoor World Cup in 2015,” says Thornton.

The 22 men who have been selected include past Indoor Pan-Americans Will Holt, Rob Schilling, Ja-Ja Kentwell, and Sebastian Scheurer. Key National outdoor players, such as Ian Scally, Jon Ginolfi, Andrew Zayac, and Kevin Barber, will be making the switch to the indoor game.
