The Futures 2020 online program is divided into seven online sessions. The first session will launch on April 24. Subsequent sessions will launch each Friday through June 5. Once a session is introduced, it will be available for Futures registrants to take through July 31, 2020.

The Future 2020 online program will be made available to all Futures registrants through the athletes' USA Field Hockey Member account. All 2020 registered Futures athletes will receive an invitation to Futures 2021. USA Field Hockey will invite 2020 Futures participants to attend Futures 2021 and will assign the athletes to the same level of site, unless they advance to a higher level through the 2020 National Futures Championship selection process or are selected at a USA Field Hockey National Event for Futures advancement.

In the unfortunate circumstance that Futures 2020 Regional Camps cannot take place due to safety concerns around the coronavirus (COVID-19), USA Field Hockey will consider partial refunds, as stated in the Futures COVID-19 policy.

It is USA Field Hockey’s intention and goal to schedule camps in all regions as soon as it is safe to do so. The times of the camps may vary by location due to facility availability but are planned to be day camps that span a 2 to 3 day period. Dates and locations for the camps, as well as for the National Futures Championship, will be announced as soon as possible. USA Field Hockey’s main priority is the safety, health and well-being of all athletes and coaches, and camps will not be held if it is not safe to do so.

Futures 2020 includes the online program and camps in the Futures registration fee. The online program will help develop athletes mentally and physically while athletes are at home, and the regional camps will serve as the on-field training and selection opportunity for the 2020 National Futures Championship.

The Futures 2020 online program and camps will include training for both field players and goalkeepers.

Athletes will be assigned to  Futures 2020 regional camps based on age divisions - U-14, U-16 and U-19 – just as athletes would have been assigned to compete at their respective Regional Futures Tournament.

USA Field Hockey cannot provide credit from Futures 2020 toward next year’s Futures program or for other programming or merchandise.

The Futures 2020 camps will serve as the selection process for the National Futures Championship. The National Futures Championship serves as another selection opportunity for the AAU Junior Olympic Games and Junior U.S. Women's National Teams.

The Futures 2020 online program has been developed by USA Field Hockey’s Coach Education and Learning team and by Team USA coaching staff, with unprecedented involvement from U.S. National Team athletes, and input from renowned sports and field hockey specialists.

USA Field Hockey recognizes that some Futures 2020 athletes have already participated in one or more Futures sessions prior to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and may or may not have received their Futures pinnies. Pinnies will be distributed at the camps to those who have not already received one. Those that did receive pinnies should plan to bring them to their regional camps.
