NATIONAL HOCKEY FESTIVAL TEAM ROSTER GUIDELINES

Important Due Dates:

  • Roster Submission Deadline: Friday, October 27th at 11:59pm EST
    • Rosters submitted after this deadline will incur a $50 fine to submit
  • Roster Lockdown Date: Wednesday, November 15th at 11:59pm EST
    • No rosters will be accepted after this date until team check-in

Membership Requirements:

  • All coaches and athletes must be current USA Field Hockey members to participate at any USA Field Hockey event.
  • Coaches are required to possess a Coach Membership and have a valid background screening on file. Coaches without a valid screening by the first day of competition will not be permitted to coach under any circumstances.
    • National background screenings can take an average of 3-5 business days to process if a coach is in need of a new one. International screenings may take much longer to process.

    Once all coaches and athletes have valid memberships rosters will be eligible for competition.

Guest Player Limits:

  • National Hockey Festival rosters are able to have a maximum of 5 guest players submitted on a roster.
    • A "guest player" is defined as any athlete not currently affiliated with your club. If you have too many guest players, you will need to have some of them transfer to your club. This can be done with the club affiliation transfer form. Transfer requests can take up to 3 days to process by the National Office.

Submission Statues:

Please note that our database management system will not allow you to "Submit" your roster with ineligible coaches/athletes. However, you are still able to "Save and Close" your roster. Please do not leave off any coaches or athletes that are ineligible due to membership issues before you "Save and Close" your roster before the cutoff. These issues can be resolved in the time between the roster cut off and the event and the National Office needs record of it to help!
