New Zealand snuck away with a 1-0 victory over the U.S. Women’s National Team in the second match of the second Four Nations tournament in Hamilton, New Zealand. New Zealand’s head coach Mark Hager admitted his side was lucky to come away with a win and gave props to the U.S. defense for shutting down his team inside the circle.

Crandall celebrates 200th cap with Team USA in second Four Nations opener

The U.S. opened the second leg of two back-to-back Four Nations tournaments in Hamilton, New Zealand last night against Korea. The No. 8 world ranked team topped Team USA, 4-1, continuing their successful Four Nations campaign that kicked off on April 10.

Young U.S. squad gaining valuable experience playing world’s best at Four Nations

The No. 2 world ranked team and 2012 Olympic silver medalists topped the U.S. Women’s National Team tonight in the final match of the first leg of the Four Nations tournament in Whangarei, New Zealand. The U.S. did not allow a goal in the second half, but three goals by Argentina in the first half led to a 3-0 final result.

The U.S. Women’s National Team earned a 2-1 win against No. 8 Korea as striker Torrie Albini (Escondido, Cali.) opened the scoring in the 2nd minute and midfielder Rachel Dawson (Berlin, N.J.) nabbed a goal in the 66th minute to seal the victory.
