USA Field Hockey’s Coach Education and Learning team is here to help you get ready to get back on the field with your team. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced coach, here are some resources to help you stay on top of your game while at home.

USA Field Hockey has expanded its digital offerings and compiled additional educational resources from our partners and friends in the field hockey and sports community. 

USA Field Hockey’s ‘In the Circle’ podcast features members of the field hockey community to national team athletes, staff, club administrators, coaches, umpires, fans and more, covering an array of topics about the sport. Here are a few you won’t want to miss.

USA Field Hockey's Coach Education and Learning Department introduces a webinar series that features women in coaching who have had success over the years.

If you haven’t seen the USA Field Hockey American Development Model (ADM) section of the website, check it out. The safety of participants is a top priority to USA Field Hockey. SafeSport training is mandatory for everyone working with kids. Familiarize yourself with USA Field Hockey’s Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies (MAAPP).

The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has recently launched a new membership program and FIH Academy that offers online learning including webinars.

The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) recently partnered with USA Field Hockey in a collaborative effort to sustain and grow the number of high school field hockey participants.
 

The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Learning Center has a wide range of courses for coaches, players and umpires of all levels. Many of these courses are encouraged or mandated by High School State Associations and are often free. Examples include "Engaging Effectively with Parents", "First Aid", "Health & Safety", "Fundamentals of Coaching and Heat", "Illness and Prevention", "Positive Sport Parenting" and more.


The NFHS also houses two courses that were developed in collaboration with USA Field Hockey through the NFHS Learning Center.

Coaching Field Hockey - This course is free to USA Field Hockey Members, and $35 for non-members. This course was specially created for high school and youth coaches.


Coaching Field Hockey: Goalkeeping - This course is also free to USA Field Hockey Coach Members, and $20 for non-members.



The Positive Coaching Alliance is offering USA Field Hockey Coach Members their most popular online course, Double Goal Coach: Coaching for Winning and Life Lessons at a discounted rate to Coach Members for just $10, a $20 cost savings.
