Each year, USA Field Hockey hires more than 500 dedicated, qualified coaches to help run programming including the Futures Program, AAU Junior Olympic Games, Junior High Performance and more. To be eligible to apply, a minimum of a Level 1 Certification and current USA Field Hockey Coach Membership is required for all positions, and some positions required a Level 2 Certification plus recent coaching experience.

Highland Park High School | Club Coach | Dallas, Texas

The Highland Park High School Girls Field Hockey Club is looking to hire a coach for the 2020 field hockey season. The season runs from mid-August through the end of October with practices Monday through Thursday and occasional Friday or weekend games. Newton North High School |  Subvarsity Coach | Newton, Mass.

Newton North Field Hockey (Newton, Mass.) is searching for a 9th grade coach to start ASAP. We are looking for someone with playing experience, ideally at the college level, and ideally coaching experience at any level. But, anyone with an interest in coaching, an appreciation for the transition into high school, a willingness to learn and teach the game of field hockey, and a commitment to building character through sport will be considered. No prior experience required. Coaching is an opportunity to be a positive influence in young people’s lives outside of school time for a couple months out of the year, and in this case, in their very first months of high school. We’re looking for a positive, energetic, organized person to join the NNFH family.

Pre-season begins Thursday, August 22, so ideally we would hire someone by then, but the start date can be somewhat flexible if needed. This would be ideal for local teachers and/or professionals with flexible schedules interested in getting involved with high school athletics. The season is from the end of August to the end of October. Practices and games are everyday after school.

St. Catherine of Siena Academy | Junior Varsity Head Coach | Wixom, Mich.

The head JV head coach will work under the supervision of the varsity field hockey head coach at St. Catherine of Siena Academy. They will conduct all practices and be at all games. 

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ability to motivate students
  • Ability to individualize instructions
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of rules and strategies
  • Experience as a coach preferred

Boys & Girls Club of Redding/Easton | Youth Coach | Redding, Conn.

The Redding Boys and Girls Club is seeking a field hockey coach to manage the youth program for grades 4-8. The coach position will be responsible for planning and coaching weekly 2-3 practices each week throughout the fall season and for overseeing two age group teams during planned games and scrimmages. The coach will provide additional support for grades 1-3 as assigned. 

The coach is responsible for communication to parents, volunteer coaches regarding practice times and game information. The coach will be expected to communicate with administrators for field access, rain delays and competitions.

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about working with elementary and middle school age groups, has advanced hockey playing and or coaching experience and a passion for the sport.

  • 5+ Years field hockey playing/coaching experience

  • Availability to work 3-5 days (weekdays and weekends)

Lewisburg Area High School is a school of approximately 625 students for grades 9-12. Lewisburg plays in the PHAC conference with 18 other schools and is part of the PIAA and District 4.
