USA Field Hockey currently offers two online coaching courses, with more on the way:

NEW! Level 1 Online Course
The Level 1 Online Course is Part 1 of the first level of certification in USA Field Hockey’s Coach Education and Learning Program. This course is recommended for field hockey coaches of all levels. The Level 1 Online Course will need to be completed prior to the Level 1 Instructional Coaching Clinic where hands-on instruction and group discussions will take place. The Level 1 Instructional Coaching Clinic portion will require four hours of in-person, on-field delivery. Attendees will be asked to discuss, review and recall the online material prior to arriving at the in-person Level 1 Instructional Coaching Clinic. 

Coaching Field Hockey
This interactive course covers the skills, techniques and tactics necessary for individual and team development. If you coach field hockey or supervise those who do, you need to take Coaching Field Hockey. This course is FREE to all USA Field Hockey Members and costs $20.00 for non-USA Field Hockey Members.

Coaching Field Hockey: Goalkeeping
This course, created by USA Field Hockey and the National Federation of State High School Associations, is FREE to all USA Field Hockey Members and costs $20.00 for non-USA Field Hockey Members. It helps coaches properly teach the basics of goalkeeping.

How to Coach Kids
Co-created by the United States Olympic Committee and Nike, and inspired by The Aspen Institute Project Play, How to Coach Kids is a FREE 30-minute online course with tips on coaching U-12 kids in any sport.

How to Coach Girls Online Course
In sports, girls face different challenges and expectations than boys. In this module, learn more about girl athletes and how to create a culture girls love to play in.
