Colorado Springs, Colo. - USA Diving has announced Kelly Fox has joined the organization as Director of Marketing and Communications. Fox, who began her new role Monday, brings more than ten years of marketing, communications and branding experience to the role.
“I am extremely excited and honored to become a part of the team at USA Diving and have the opportunity to tell the story of our athletes and organization,” said Fox, “As we look towards Tokyo 2020 and beyond, I am looking forward to working with our staff as well as the entire U.S. diving community to continue our efforts to grow the sport and support our athletes.”
Fox will work to develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy. She will oversee brand marketing, digital marketing, social media, public relations and media strategy.
Fox joins USA Diving from USA Cycling, where she served as the Manager of Marketing and Communications. She was responsible for planning and overseeing the editorial and digital content strategy to support membership initiatives, elite athletics, as well as organizational initiatives. Fox also served as the press officer for multiple National and World Championships across USA Cycling’s various disciplines.
While at USA Cycling, Fox had a solid record of success. Her accomplishments include creating a digital media, content and communications strategy that increased organic social media followers and reach, as well as working with endemic and non-endemic media to increase the number of articles and features published about the organization and its athletes. Prior to joining USA Cycling, Fox owned her own Digital Media Agency, K. Fox Creative where she worked with corporations, small businesses and entrepreneurs to create and implement their brand’s digital marketing and content strategies.
“We are looking forward to working with Kelly. With her NGB experience working with athletes and coaches, she has the knowledge to hit the road running, which is important with the Olympic Games only a few months away,” said USA Diving High Performance Director Dan Laak.
Fox is originally from Cheshire, Conn. and currently resides in Colorado Springs with her son, six-year-old, Luke.
