Tuesday, February 6, 2019 marks the 33rd annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day, a national observance celebrating the extraordinary achievements of women and girls in sports, organized nationally by Women’s Sports Foundation. For over three decades, National Girls & Women in Sports Day has empowered women and girls to use sports and physical activity to push the limits in sports and in life while gaining confidence, strength and character to become strong leaders.

This year, National Girls and Women in Sports Day’s theme is Lead Her Forward, “to honor the many ways that sports push girls and women to achieve excellence and realize their boundless potential.”

At USA Diving, we strive to continue championing girls and women on the boards and away from the sport, so that our athletes, coaches, judges and staff can continue to inspire greatness in our diving community and throughout the world, while elevating the sport for all of us. On National Girls & Women in Sports Day and every day, USA Diving is proud to celebrate the girls and women in our community.
