Nine divers to represent USA at 2019 International Youth Diving Meet in Dresden

Nine members of the 2019 Tier 3 High Performance Squad are set to represent the United States at the International Youth Diving Meet in Dresden, Germany, from April 25-28.

The team includes three divers who won junior national championships in 2018. Maxwell Miller (The Woodlands Diving Academy) won both 1-meter and 3-meter boys titles in group C last summer.  Lily Witte (Legacy Diving) won the group C girls 1-meter title and took second on 3-meter, and Samantha Vear (Conroe Diving Club) was the group A 1-meter girls champion last year.

Remi Edvalson (Stanford Diving Club) won a pair of bronze medals on 1-meter and platform in group B at last year’s junior nationals, and Bailee Sturgill (Ohio State Diving Club) brought home bronze on 1-meter and 3-meter in group C last summer.

Clayton Chaplin (Mile High Dive Club), Jessie Creed (Coral Springs Diving), Luca Fassi (Rose Bowl Aquatics), Ruth Anne McCranie (Moss Farms Diving) also will represent the United States in Dresden. Each finished in the top eight on at least one event at the 2018 USA Diving Junior National Championships.
