The Tuesday 10 is a weekly Q&A session with 2018 High Performance Squad members, letting fans know some of the nation's best divers on a more fun and personal level. This week's Tuesday 10: Michael Hixon

1. What is the most historic thing that has happened in your lifetime?

MH: “Winning a silver medal in Rio with Sam Dorman in the men's synchronized 3-meter was one of the most special and historic things that has happened in my lifetime."

2. What movie can you watch over and over without getting tired of?

MH: “Miracle. Always inspiring. There’s also a clip from the movie Any Given Sunday where the coach gives a speech that I watch at least three times a week.”

3. Who do you feel like you know even though you've never met them?

MH: “Mark Lenzi. I actually did meet him once, but his picture is on a large banner at our pool. Seeing him every day serves as great motivation and I feel like I’ve actually connected with his diving.”

4. What language do wish you could speak?

MH: “Russian. I want to be able to talk to their synchronized 3-meter team.”

5. What mythical creature do you wish existed?

MH: “Dragons. I'm a big Game of Thrones fan. Really pulling for Daenerys!”

6. What weird food combination do you really enjoy?

MH: “I really enjoy blue cheese dressing and scrambled eggs. Blue cheese is especially one of favorite dressings.”

7. What is the most unusual place you have ever visited?

MH: “Sam Dorman and I were driving around Switzerland on vacation and came across a gondola up in the mountains. It turns out it was a personal gondola this family used to get to their house. We rode it up and had coffee with a man living there. He spoke no English but was a great host!”

8. What food have you never eaten but would like to try?

MH: “Authentic Chinese food. Hopefully I’ll have a chance at World Cup this summer.”

9. What word is a lot of fun to say?

MH: “Anything in a Boston accent!”

10. Do you like things to be carefully planned or do you prefer to go-with-the-flow?

MH: “It definitely depends. When it's school or diving, I like to be methodical. But outside of those two I'm pretty go-with-the-flow.
