The Tuesday 10 is a weekly Q&A session with 2018 High Performance Squad members, letting fans know some of the nation's best divers on a more fun and personal level. This week's Tuesday 10: Lauren Reedy.

  1. What movie can you watch over and over without getting tired of it? Why?

LR: “Inside Out, because its adorable and brilliant and funny. I'm such a sucker for children's movies!”

  2. What weird food combinations do you really enjoy? Why?

LR: “Recently I've come to really enjoy a waffle from a cafe near my house that’s topped with green tea ice cream and red bean. Which isn't really that weird for China, but I thought it was super strange when I first moved to Guangzhou.”

  3. What is the most unusual place you have ever visited? Why?

LR: “Probably the Stone Forrest in Kunming, China. It's a pretty cool Karst mountain landscape that’s 270 million years old and covers close to 200 sq. miles.”

  4. What food have you never eaten but would really like to try? Why?

LR: “Bobotie. I've heard a lot about it from my South African friends and it sounds delicious!”

  5. What mythical creature do you wish existed? Why?

LR: “Centaurs! I'm a huge fan of the Chronicles of Narnia book series and in that series centaurs are depicted as such wise and honorable and awe-inspiring creatures. They are very highly respected and very important soldiers.”

  6. What super power would you like to have? Why?

LR: “If I could use it selectively, I'd love to be able to read minds. I love hearing different people's perspectives and thoughts on things and I think it would be cool to get the unfiltered version, but I would want to be able to turn off that super power at times because sometimes I wouldn't want to know what people are thinking. Haha!”

  7. What’s your secret talent?

LR: “Does being a world class shower singer count?”

  8. What question would you like to ask a time traveler from 200 years in the future?

LR: “Have the Detroit Lions won a Super Bowl yet?”

  9. What’s your good luck charm?

LR: “I don't really have a good luck charm of my own, but one of my teammates had given me a little bunny that is just like her good luck charm, so I bring that to competitions with me now. It reminds me of all the people that care about me and wish me well!”

  10. If you owned a restaurant, what kind of food would it serve?

LR: “Sushi! Because to be able to eat free sushi whenever I want to would be such a great thing!”
