The U.S. will compete in three upcoming FINA Diving World Series meets, beginning March 3-5 in Beijing when 2016 Olympians Amy (Cozad) Magaña (Indianapolis, Ind.) and Katrina Young (Shoreline, Wash./Tallahassee, Fla.) represent the U.S. in synchronized 10-meter in Beijing.
Magaña and Young will compete together for the first time since 2014, when they placed eighth at the FINA Diving World Cup in Shanghai.
Up-and-comers Tarrin Gilliland (Midland, Texas) and Delaney Schnell (Tucson, Ariz.) will compete synchronized 10-meter at the second World Series stop, set for March 9-11 in Guangzhou City, China. The 14-year-old Gilliland and 18-year-old Schnell competed together at three FINA Grand Prix meets in 2016.
Four divers will represent the U.S. at World Series competition in Windsor, Canada from April 21-23. Olympic silver medalists Sam Dorman (Tempe, Ariz./Miami, Fla.) and Michael Hixon (Amherst, Mass./Bloomington, Ind.) will compete together in synchronized 3-meter, and Olympian Jessica Parratto (Dover, N.H./Bloomington, Ind.) will pair with Gilliland in synchronized 10-meter. Hixon and Parratto will also compete in the individual 3-meter and 10-meter events, respectively, in Windsor.
