Nine divers to represent USA in FINA World Series in Great Britain

INDIANAPOLIS - The United States will send nine divers to the third leg of the 2009 FINA Diving World Series, set for April 18-19 in Sheffield, Great Britain.

Thomas Finchum (Indianapolis) and Nick McCrory (Chapel Hill, N.C.) will head to Great Britain after a successful debut in a World Series event in China in late March, where they competed together in synchronized diving for the first time and won the silver in platform synchro, finishing second only to the 2008 Olympic gold medalists Lin Yue and Huo Liang of China.

Joining them in Great Britain will be Kelci Bryant (Chatham, Ill./Indianapolis) and Ariel Rittenhouse (Santa Cruz, Calif./Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.) on women's 3-meter synchro, Chris Colwill (Brandon, Fla./Athens, Ga.) and Jevon Tarantino (Boca Raton, Fla./Knoxville, Tenn.) on men's 3-meter synchro, Mary Beth Dunnichay (Elwood, Ind.) and Michelle Cabassol (Montgomery, Texas) on women's platform synchro and Troy Dumais (Ventura, Calif./Austin, Texas) on men's 3-meter.

The FINA World Series is an invitation-only event featuring the top teams and divers from the 2008 Olympic Games. The final leg of the 2009 World Series will be held April 24-25 in Mexico.
