DIVING: Olympian Mark Ruiz making a comeback, will compete in Russia from April 10-13

Four divers, including two-time Olympian Mark Ruiz, will represent the United States at the Spring Swallows FINA Grand Prix meet in Russia from April 10-13. Ruiz (Orlando, Fla.) competed at the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games before stepping away from competition to pursue other endeavors. Ruiz recently decided to try for a comeback and was selected to the U.S. team for the Russia Grand Prix based on his performance at a USA Diving selection camp in January. He will compete on 3-meter in Russia before heading straight to Minneapolis for the April 16-20 Speedo USA Diving Spring National Championships, where he will attempt to qualify for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials-Diving.
