Qualification Criteria (updated 10/10/22)

NOTICE TO JUNIOR ATHLETES: If you intend to register for the Winter Nationals on platform without meeting the DD requirement, as outlined by the Qualification Criteria, please:

  1. Register for the event using a list that DOES meet the DD requirement, even if it is not the list you will compete.
  2. Email oliviar@usadiving.org with your correct list.
  3.  Find Olivia Rosendahl on deck once you arrive in West Virginia, and we will make sure your list is manually changed and correct!

Dryland: There will be dryland equipment available for use by participants, with stretching mats, trampoline, and dryboard on the pool deck. Dryland will open 30 minutes prior to the pool open time each day. Monday/Tuesday: Dryland opens at 7:30 a.m.  Wednesday/Sunday: Dryland opens at 6:30 a.m. 

*USA Diving will be preemptive filming at the facility prior to the start of the event.


Meet Information

 

Entering the Meet

All athlete and coach entries must be made online at www.divemeets.com prior to November 30th, 2022.

Entry Fees

Entry fees are $65 plus a $50 insurance fee per athlete per event (total $115 per event).

Late Registration

Coaches – If a coach misses the online registration deadline, a $20 late fee will be assessed prior to deck authorization.

Athletes – If registering for the meet after the entry deadline, a $100 late fee will be assessed in addition to the event entry fees.

Each event closes 3 hours prior to the event start time.

Dive Changes

Dive changes will be allowed until 3 hours prior to the start of each event. A $15 late fee will be assessed for any dive changes made after 6pm the night before the first day’s events, and after 12pm the day before the remaining days.

  • First day of competition: Dive changes must be made prior to 6pm the day before to avoid late fee
  • All remaining days of competition: Dive changes must be made prior to 12pm the day before to avoid late fee

International Divers

In accordance with USA Diving rules, international athletes may participate in USA Diving Winter National Championships, but may not take a medal away from a diver with USA citizenship.


Participant Comportment

Sportsmanship Statement

USA Diving promotes good sportsmanship by athletes, coaches and spectators. We request your cooperation by supporting the participants and officials in a positive manner. Profanity, racist or sexist comments, or other intimidating actions directed at judges, meet personnel, athletes, coaches, spectators, or team representatives are grounds for removal from the site of competition. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Anti-bullying Policy

Hazing, harassment, intimidation, menacing or bullying, and acts of cyberbullying by members towards any member is strictly prohibited. Retaliation against any person who reports, is thought to have reported, files a complaint or otherwise participates in an investigation or inquiry is also strictly prohibited. False charges shall also be regarded as a serious offense and will result in disciplinary action or other appropriate sanctions. Persons whose behavior is found to be in violation of this policy will be subject to discipline, up to and including expulsion. USA Diving may also make referrals to law enforcement officials.

Use of Audiovisual Equipment

Use of audio or visual recording devices, including cell phones, is not permitted in changing areas, restrooms, or locker rooms.

Deck Changing

Changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or designated changing rooms is not appropriate and is prohibited.
