Curling takes minutes to learn, but a lifetime to master. Not only is it important to play the right shots (strategy), curlers need to understand how to play shots right (tactics). This includes understanding playing conditions, such as rocks and changing ice conditions; judging line and weight; determining execution tolerance (e.g., what’s an acceptable miss); and individual player strengths and weaknesses.
