The Junior Coach program is designed for individuals who volunteer for or run junior curling programs in local curling clubs. Junior coaches typically work with teens between approximately 10 and 19 years of age. 

Coaching Experience:

  • At least 15 hours of coaching youth curlers in a curling club, school-based curling program, or curling camp

General Requirements:

  • Register as member of the USA Curling Coaches Association
  • Read and agree to Coaches Code of Ethics
  • Pass background check through National Center for Safety Initiatives (NCSI) (must be valid)
  • Read USA Curling SafeSport Handbook
  • Complete First Aid certification (must be valid)
