USA Curling Provides Update On Club Nationals

March 27, 2020, 1:46 p.m. (ET)

(Stevens Point, Wis. )—USA Curling has learned that additional participants at the United States Curling Association Club National Championships, March 7-14 in Laurel, Maryland have tested positive for COVID-19.

USA Curling and Potomac Curling Club worked closely to ensure that all participants, officials and volunteers were notified as soon as a confirmation was received of the first positive test. Additionally, USA Curling continues to communicate with relevant local public health officials to help to keep everyone safe and healthy during this time.

We continue to encourage everyone in our curling community to take all recommended precautions to mitigate the potential for further spreading of the coronavirus. Importantly, this includes adhering to each of the relevant restrictions in place in your local jurisdictions.

Importantly, if you develop symptoms, please contact your health professional. Anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 should work with local, state, and federal public health officials to identify individuals with whom they had close contact to enable appropriate notification, isolation, and monitoring by public health officials.

Our thoughts and well wishes are with all who have been impacted by COVID-19 and our top priority remains the safety and well-being of the entire curling community. We ask in these unprecedented times that everyone does their part in helping us get through this challenging period of time.
