Volt Resistance comes on board as sponsor for wheelchair curling team

(STEVENS POINT, Wis.) – Team USA will stay a lot warmer on the ice as Volt Resistance is on board as a sponsor of the Toyota Wheelchair National Curling Team.

Volt is providing each member of the Toyota National Wheelchair Curling Team with a torso heated vest liner to keep them warm during competition.

“Volt was founded on the desire to help our customers be more comfortable while in cold conditions. Being able to help the USA Paralympic curling team compete is fun for us to be a part of. Being out on that ice looks cold and Volt will keep them loose,” said Colby Wright, Sales/Marketing Manager for Volt.

The Toyota National Wheelchair Curling Team has been busy this season competing at international competitions and heads to Wausau, Wis., this weekend for a joint training camp with Canada.

“I am really very excited to have Volt Resistance on board as a sponsor for our heated cold weather gear. Our athletes do not sweep and thus do not generate the heat able-body curlers do. Staying warm while not becoming constricted by outerwear can be a challenge,” said Rusty Schieber, Wheelchair National Team Coach. “Among the many products that Volt offers, the Torso Heated Vest Liner is the inner wear that will keep our athletes warm. In addition, as a result of it being so unrestricting, it will also be almost undetectable by the athlete. It is the perfect piece of heated cold weather innerwear for the active athlete.”

“Volt has a wide variety of heated clothing for almost every activity,” Wright said. “Some of our products are more dressy and can be used on a daily basis or even for work. We try to have a heated clothing solution for just about everybody and every activity.”

About Volt Resistance:

In a nutshell our mission and goal is to develop heated products to help people feel good while looking good regardless of cold temperatures. Nobody likes to be cold. Being cold may be an uncomfortable inconvenience for some people, but for others, suffering from the cold can be a painful experience. The latter was the driving force behind the creation of the Volt Resistance® line of heated products.
