James "Jimmy Jam" Joseph is this year’s recipient of the USA Wheelchair Curling Lifetime Achievement Award. Jimmy was presented the award (framed certificate and miniature stone) on Nov. 2 at Sitrin Healthcare. National Coach Rusty Schieber and members of the Toyota National Wheelchair Curling Team also were present via speakerphone for the presentation while together at a training camp in Wausau.

Jimmy is a 13-time national team member and three-time Paralympian (2006, ’10, ’14). He was a member of the National Team that captured bronze at the 2008 World Wheelchair Curling Championships.

“Jimmy’s passion, energy, and tremendous skill have been a major asset to the success of the national program and have spurred the growth and visibility of wheelchair curling across the nation and the world. We have been extremely fortunate to have him in our program for so many years,” said Marc DePerno, wheelchair national team leader.
