Senior Men's competition continues while women's action begins today

2019 Senior National Championships continue in Minnesota, Wisconsin


(STEVENS POINT, Wis.) – Past champions are making a push for another run at the senior men’s national title after three days of competition at the Heather and Mankato curling clubs in Minnesota.


The 2019 USA Curling Senior Men’s National Championship continues today as the record 29-team field continues to get whittled down. Meanwhile, the Senior Women’s National Championship will kick off at 11 a.m. CT today at the Portage Curling Club in Portage, Wis.


Two-time champion Jeff Wright (Libertyville, Ill.) and four-time champ Geoff Goodland (Eau Claire, Wis.) are both undefeated and set to meet at 2 p.m. today in the A side of the lengthy competition bracket (to view, go to Two other undefeated past champs will also collide at 2 p.m. in the A bracket as they continue their journeys to try to qualify for Sunday’s playoffs. Two-time champion and 2010 world senior champion Paul Pustovar (Hibbing, Minn.) will meet 2017 champion Mike Farbelow (Minneapolis, Minn.). The winning teams will face one another with a playoff berth at stake while the losing sides drop to the B side of the bracket.
