Eau Claire to host 2020 Junior National Championships

(STEVENS POINT, Wis.) – A club rich in history with a strong background in hosting national curling events is set to host the 2020 USA Curling Junior National Championships as the Eau Claire Curling Club welcomes 16 competing teams in January.

No stranger to hosting national championships, the four-sheet club in Eau Claire, Wis., will host the championship on Jan. 12-18 to determine the country’s U21 champions and representatives for the 2020 World Junior Championships in Russia (the U.S. women still need to qualify for the World Juniors). The club most recently hosted the 2018 College National Championship, 2018 Mixed Doubles National Championship and 2015 Mixed Doubles National Championship and will host the Junior Nationals for the first time.

Three qualifying events will take place this fall to determine the eight men’s and eight women’s teams. Click here to learn about the qualifying process.
