USA Curling, 12th End Sports Network continue webstreaming partnership 2018-19 season

(STEVENS POINT, Wis.) – USA Curling and the 12th End Sports Network (TESN) are continuing a long-running partnership to produce live webstreams of USA Curling championship events, with TESN tabbed to produce coverage of the 2019 USA Curling National Championships and, for the first time ever, the 2019 USA Curling Mixed Doubles National Championship.

TESN, in partnership with USA Curling and the U.S. Olympic Committee, will provide a live webstream of every draw of the 2019 National Championships, which will take place Feb. 9-16 at Wings Arena in Kalamazoo, Mich. The Mixed Doubles National Championship is set to take place at Seattle’s Granite Curling Club Feb. 27-March 3.

“Expanded and enhanced coverage of national events remains a high strategic priority for USA Curling, and we are pleased to be redoubling our partnership with TESN this year following an historic season of webstreaming and television coverage of curling in the United States,” said Rick Patzke, USA Curling CEO. “This is more than just a contract for services, as Brian, Joe, Price and the many other TESN supporters put their hearts and souls into these productions. We are grateful for their involvement.”

TESN is owned and produced by Rochester, N.Y., curlers and entrepreneurs Joe Calabrese and Brian Anderson, and has been the live webstream partner for the U.S. National Championships since 2012. The Rochester duo also streamed live action from the 2018 and 2014 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Curling.

“Each year, we are humbled by the opportunity to bring curing fans the action from the top events the USCA has to offer,” said Calabrese, chief executive officer of TESN, who acts as the play-by-play voice for the network. “To build on our momentum from the Olympic Trials and U.S. Nationals events from last season, we will be expanding our TESN team to establish the capacity to stream these events and more.”

A second successful fundraising campaign to support improvements to TESN’s broadcasts, coupled with the generosity of the William Peskoff Charitable Fund with a matching grant, will bring additional improvements to give fans a better viewing experience. Donations can be made here.
