Wauwatosa set to host adaptive curling clinic

The Wisconsin Adaptive Sports Association (WASA), the Wauwatosa Curling Club and the U.S. Paralympic Curling Team are joining forces offering a one day adaptive curling clinic at the Wauwatosa Curling Club. The clinic is schedule from 1-4 p.m. on Oct. 27 at the Wauwatosa Curling Club. The event is free and open to individuals of all ages. On and off ice sessions will be presented. Team USA Paralympians Penny Greely (three-time Paralympian competing in both the Summer and Winter Games; bronze medalist in 2004 in sitting volleyball) and Justin Marshall (2018 Paralympic team) as well as volunteers from both WASA and the Wauwatosa Curling Club with be working with attendees to introduce them to the game. No prior experience is required.

Whether you intend to simply try out the game that is “sweeping” the country or to get your toe in the water for the 2022 Paralympic Winter Games in Beijing, China, this clinic is the perfect opportunity to learn and participate in the winter sport of curling.
