Tiebreaker game on tap to fill out playoff bracket

Playoff field nearly set at 2018 Arena National Championships

 

(STEVENS POINT, Wis.) – One more game will be played to determine the full playoff field for the 2018 USA Curling Arena National Championships in Salt Lake City.

 

Seven of the eight quarterfinal spots were claimed in the men’s division with a tiebreaker game between past champions Pittsburgh and Aberdeen (S.D.) on tap this morning at 9 a.m. MT to determine the eighth seed. Aberdeen’s Mark Tolvstad rink defeated Lone Star, 11-9, after scoring four points in the seventh end to force the tiebreaker game. View the men's playoff bracket here.

 

The women’s playoffs are set with San Francisco and Kansas City taking their undefeated records directly to the semifinals. The other four playoff contenders include Wine Country, Cleveland Skating Club, Broadmoor, and Silicon Valley. Full brackets will be posted here.
