Four athletes advance to upcoming National Wheelchair Team Selection Trials

(STEVENS POINT, Wis.) – Four more athletes have advanced to participate in this National Wheelchair Team Selection Trials after a camp was held this month in Denver.

Caroline Knox (East Falmouth, Mass.), David Samsa (Green Bay, Wis.), Batoyuna Uranchimeg (Burnsville, Minn.), and Ken White (Sutton, Mass.) have been selected from the USA Curling National Invitational Wheelchair Curling Camp and Trials held at the Denver Curling Club to advance to the Team Selection Trials this November.

 The Trials will be contested Nov. 2-4 at the Wausau Curling Club in Wausau, Wis., and will also include the eight current members of the national team – Kirk Black (San Antonio, Texas), Steve Emt (Hebron, Conn.), Justin Marshall (Evansville, Wis.), Penny Greely (Green Bay, Wis.) Meghan Lino (East Falmouth, Mass.), James Joseph (New Hartford, N.Y.), Matthew Thums (Wausau, Wis.) and Pam Wilson (Westminster, Colo.).

Members selected to the national team in November will take part in competitions this winter to determine the five selected to be Team USA at the 2019 World Wheelchair Championship in March.
