Get to Know Team Clark

Team Brady Clark, 2018 Olympic Hopefuls

 

This is feature #5 in a series of taking a quick glance at the teams competing in the upcoming 2018 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Curling. Today we will meet Team Clark. Led by 2013’s USA Curling Male Athlete of the Year Brady Clark (Lynnwood, Wash.), Team Clark is currently ranked. No. 29 on the World Curling Tour. The team is coached by Ken Trask (Seattle, Wash.).

 

Skip Brady Clark, 40, Lynnwood, Wash., has found success in his curling career. Brady is a two-time men’s national champion (2016, 2013), and is a ten-time mixed national champion. Brady was named 2013’s USA Curling Male Athlete of the Year and was on the USA Curling Team of the Year in 2012 and 2009. Brady is a father to one son a special projects leader with Liberty Mutual. This will be his fourth time appearing at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials.  Learn more about Brady here.

Vice Skip Greg Persinger, 39, Fairbanks, Ala., is seeking to make his first Olympic team. Greg won the men’s national championship in 2016, as well as the club nationals championship in 2017. A member of the Fairbanks Curling Club and owner of Cold Stone Creamery, Greg is married and the father of three children. To learn more about Greg, click here.

Second Colin Hufman, 33, Seattle, Wash., comes from a family of curlers. Colin won the men’s national championship in 2016, the U.S. junior nationals in 2002, and the men’s Alaska state championship in 2002. A graduate from Shoreline Community College and the University of Washington, Colin is an engineer and four-time champion of the Alaska junior men’s state competition. This will be Colin’s fourth appearance at the Olympic trials. Read more about Colin here.

Lead Philip Tilker, 41, Seattle, Wash., started curling in 1990. Philip is a two-time men’s national champion (2016, 2013), and won the mixed national championship three times in a row in 2011, 2010, and 2009.
