2018 College National Championship logo design winner announced

The USCA College Curling Committee is pleased to announce the winner of our 2018 USA Curling College Championship Logo Contest winner.

The design was created primarily by Harrison Hruby of the University of Nebraska in Lincoln with some help by his teammates. Harrison and his schoolmates curl out of the Arksarben Curling Club in Omaha.

Nebraska has long been a fixture in USA College Curling. This past year Nebraska was national runner-up to the University of Minnesota .

For the fifth year in a row, Brooms Up Curling Supplies played prominently in our call for designs. As a longtime supporter of College Curling, Brooms Up is providing the winning school with six brooms. Without the support of Brooms Up, the annual logo contest would not be near the success that it has been.

Without question, this was our biggest and most competitive logo contest to date. There was a total of 14 eligible entries from 7 different schools. Both records.

The selection was carried out by the College Curling Committee (minus a pair of student committee members who submitted their own designs).

Entries were judged on the clarity with which they project the "College Curling Championship" event, the best inclusion of the event dates and location, and the legibility of the design when scaled up or down.
