Get to Know Team Christensen

Team Cory Christensen, 2018 Olympic hopefuls

This is feature #2 in a series taking a quick glance at the teams competing in the upcoming 2018 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Curling. Today we will meet Team Cory Christensen, led by four-time U.S. junior national champion Cory Christensen (Duluth, Minn.), Team Christensen is currently ranked No. 34 on the World Curling Tour. The team is coached by Olympic coach Phill Drobnick (Eveleth, Minn.).

Skip Cory Christensen is the youngest skip in the Olympic Team Trials field at 22 (turns 23 in December). A college student, Christensen was named USA Curling's Female Athlete of the Year in 2016 after leading Team USA to a silver medal at the World Junior Championships. You might think you're seeing double as Team Christensen features twins Sarah Anderson (elder by minutes) and Taylor Anderson. Vice skip Sarah Anderson, 22, has already accomplished a lot in her young curling career. She's a 2012 Youth Olympian, national mixed doubles champion, two-time junior champion and was named as the sixth player for the 2014 women's Olympic team. Learn more about Sarah here.

Taylor Anderson, 22, and her sister are natives of Philadelphia and moved to Minnesota to attend the University of Minnesota. Taylor also is a Youth Olympian and two-time junior national champion and plays in the second position for Team Christensen. Want to know more about Taylor? Click here.

Lead Jenna Martin is the "old married lady" of the team at the tender age of 23. Martin is Wisconsin native and graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. A two-time junior national champion, Jenna already has competed at five women's national championships. Learn more about Jenna here!
