Baxter Arena to host Olympic qualifying event Nov. 11-18, 2017

(Omaha, Neb.) – All-session tickets for the 2018 U.S. Olympic Team Trials For Curling will go on sale Feb. 10, 2017. The competition serves as the sole qualifier for curlers on the U.S. Olympic Team for the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018. The Olympic Curling Trials will be held Nov. 11-18, 2017, at the Baxter Arena. Tickets can be purchased through any Ticketmaster outlet nationwide or online at ticketmaster.com. Tickets also can be purchased at the Baxter Arena or by calling 800-745-3000. VISA, a long-standing supporter of the Olympics, is the exclusive method of online purchases.

All-session tickets range from $70 to $100 for the eight days of competition. All-session tickets are transferable between family and friends, and guarantee the same seat for each session. Other ticket packages and single event tickets will be offered closer to the event.

VIP Loge Boxes, accommodating 10-12 fans, will be located on the home end of the Baxter Arena ice. The limited quantity boxes are priced from $1,250 to $1,500 each for all eight days. VIP Loge Boxes are available by contacting the Baxter Arena Premium Seating Manager at 402-554-6206.

“With the Opening Ceremony for the PyeongChang Games barely a year away, the launch of ticket sales for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials will further stoke the Olympic fervor already evident in curling around the USA”, said Rick Patzke, USA Curling Chief Executive Officer. “Omaha beckons, and we invite all sports fans to join us in the city that never coasts to cheer on the athletes who will be proudly wearing the stars and stripes in pursuit of Olympic glory a year from now.”

This is the first time the Omaha Sports Commission (OSC) has hosted a Trials event on the winter side. The OSC has hosted the past three Olympic Swim Trials (2008, 2012 and 2016). The OSC is partnering with the Baxter Arena and Aksarben Curling Club.

Wesley Hall, OSC President and Executive Director, said the U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Curling will once again shine the national spotlight on Omaha. “Once again, the path to the Olympics goes through Omaha,” said Hall. “As host to three previous Olympic Trials, we are thrilled that our great city will again play a part in the selection of the next U.S. Olympic Team. The eyes of the nation will be upon us and we are excited to continue the great curling tradition that began in Omaha nearly 60 years ago.”
