Estimating the Rate of Covid-19 at 2020 Club National Championships

The United States Curling Association and Potomac Curling Club supported a research study designed to help the curling community at large better understand how COVID-19 can be spread in our unique sport, as well as determine the impact of COVID-19 at the 2020 Curling Club National Championships.

To ensure that the study, in the form of a survey, was conducted with appropriate considerations for data security and participant consent, Dr. Paul Luethy, a researcher at the University of Maryland Baltimore, served as the Study Chair. Participant answers to survey questions were strictly confidential and anonymous, and reported only in the aggregate. Participation in this study was completely voluntary, but immensely appreciated, as our entire community will benefit from the findings.
