The finalists for the 2020 USA Boxing National Championships have been confirmed after eight exciting days of boxing at the Shreveport Convention Center in Shreveport, La.
The day began with the top four intermediate and junior boxers putting on a great show and leaving it all in the ring to punch their ticket to the championship bouts tomorrow morning at 11:00 a.m. Reigning champions Sarai Brown-El (Marietta, Ga.), Cornellio Phipps (Oxford, Pa.) and Marco Romero (Shawnee, Kan. ) will look to repeat as National Champions and highlight the session.
The youth and elite semifinals did not disappoint and set up some exciting matchups for tomorrow’s finale, which is set to begin at 5:00 p.m., highlighted by another national tournament matchup of Richard Fernandez (San Antonio, Texas) and Steven Navarro (Los Angeles, Calif.); Jahmal Harvey (Oxon Hill, Md.) versus Jonathan Mansour (San Diego, Calif.); Amir Anderson (Syracuse, N.Y.) against Donte Layne (Elmont, N.Y.); an all Hawaii women’s flyweight finale of Jazzelle Bobadilla (Ewa Beach) and Shera Mae Patricio (Waianae); Krystal Dixon (New Rochelle, N.Y.) versus Brittany Parker (Omaha, Neb.); rising youth stars Joel Iriarte (Bakersfield, Calif.) and Abdullah Mason (Henderson, Nev.) go head-to-head, as well as many more.
