Team USA Departs Today for First International Competition Since January

13 members of USA Boxing’s Elite High Performance team departed today from Colorado Springs, Colo. for their first international competitions in Castellón, Spain (Oct. 6-10) and Nantes, France (Oct. 28-30) since competing in the Strandja Tournament this past January. A complete team roster can be seen below.

Team USA will be guided by National Head Coach Billy Walsh (Colorado Springs, Colo.) along with National Strength and Conditioning Coach Jose Polanco (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and assistant coaches Tim Back (Cincinnati, Ohio), Marc Gargaro (Newton, Mass.), Joe Guzman (Buckeye, Ariz.), Christine Lopez (Rowlett, Texas) and Jeff Mays (San Antonio, Texas). Other staff attending the trip includes USA Boxing High Performance Manager Liz Podominick (Colorado Springs, Colo.), USOPC Senior Sport Dietician Rob Skinner (Colorado Springs, Colo), Athletic Trainer Jenna Street (Colorado Springs, Colo.), as well as R/J’s Andrew Mustacchio (Corapolis, Pa.) and Eldwin Ruiz (Buda, Texas).
