Registration Deadline for 2019 Eastern Elite Qualifier Closes Next Week

The registration deadline for the upcoming 2019 Eastern Elite Qualifier & Regional Open in Columbus, Ohio is quickly approaching.

Boxers have until Sept. 30 to complete their registration for the event, which takes place Oct. 5-12 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Boxers that register by today, Sept. 23, will have their name placed on the event t-shirt that is sold at the event.

Also, boxers wishing to make any changes to the weight class they are registered for must do so by Sept. 30. Please contact USA Boxing at 719-866-2323 to make those changes.

Because of the large number of elite boxers (19-40) expected to participate, elite male check-in will begin on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and finish on Sunday, Oct. 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Other divisions are allowed to check-in on Saturday, as well, but can also check-in on Sunday, Oct. 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The elite male general weigh-in will take place on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 2:00 p.m. All elite boxers MUST attend the general weigh-in. The official draw for Elite male boxers will take place on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 6:00 p.m., with some bouts schedule to start at 8:00 p.m. on the 6th.

 

The general weigh-in and official draw for all other age divisions will take place on Monday, Oct. 7.

 

Recap of changes for this tournament:

  • Check-in will begin on Saturday, Oct. 5. from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and end Sunday, Oct. 6. Elite male boxers have until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6 to check-in, while all other divisions have until 6:00 p.m. to check-in.
  • General weigh-in for elite male boxers will be on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 2:00 p.m., with the official draw for elites taking place at 6:00 p.m.
  • General weigh-in for all other divisions will take place on Monday, Oct. 7.
  • The new minimum bout requirement for both male and female pee wee boxers (ages 8-10) is now 2 bouts.
  • The new minimum bout requirement for youth male boxers is now 10 bouts.
  • The new minimum bout requirement for elite male boxers is now 15 bouts.
