December 2019 marks the end of the term for the current Local Boxing Committee’s (LBC) Board of Directors. LBC Board elections are held every four years with a new Board in place in January of each Summer Olympic year.
Incumbent directors must also submit a form. There are no term limits. Please make every effort to complete the form electronically. Be as concise as possible with your answers as room is limited; however, as you type in your answers and are close to the bottom of the box, the font will automatically shrink to allow you to continue typing. Handwritten applications will be accepted but you may find that you don’t have enough room to answer the questions. The completed applications/questionnaires will be sent to all voting members. The LBC Voting Procedures and a brief description of the Board positions are also attached below. Please read these documents carefully to determine if you meet the eligibility requirements to hold a Board position and if you can fulfill the duties and responsibilities.
September 19 - Call for candidates (this email)
October 19 - Deadline for candidates to submit their application
November 7 - Announce the candidates
November 7 - Deadline to add or change Club Rep and to attach boxers
November 18 - Voting begins
December 1 - Voting ends
Mid-December - Announce final election results
January 1, 2020 - New Board takes office
A list of eligible voters will be supplied to each candidate no later than November 11, 2019.
