USA Boxing to Host 2020 USA Boxing Master's National Championships in March

USA Boxing is proud to announce our second ever Master’s Division tournament in Reno, Nev., March 25-28, in conjunction with our 2020 Western Elite Qualifier & Regional Open Championships.

After the success of our event in 2018, we look forward to once again providing another opportunity for our masters boxers to compete in a national tournament alongside our next generation of boxing champions.

“The USA Boxing Events Department strives to create competition opportunities for our entire membership,” stated Michael Campbell, USA Boxing Events and Operations Manager. “This new National Event does that in serving a group, the master’s division boxers, that have been underserved in opportunities to get into the ring and capitalize on their dedication and hard work that they and their coaches have put in boxing clubs across the entire country.

“Along with great masters dedicated regional tournaments such as the Las Vegas Invitational, Atlanta Master’s Open, Dreamland’s, Rude Dog & Sonny’s, our goal is for this event to contribute to continued growth of amateur boxing among 35+ year old athletes.”

The tournament, will begin with check-in on Wednesday, March 25, bouts starting Thursday and concluding with championship bouts on Saturday night alongside the finale of the Western Elite Qualifier at the Grand Sierra Resort. The event will also be the first rankings tournament for the master division, with more information on rankings to come!

“Holding this event at the Grand Sierra Resort will provide the participants with great accommodations and tremendous options for food & activities so that they can perform their best and also make for a memorable experience for them and their supporters,” said Campbell.
