The final four boxers in each Olympic weight class were determined today, as well as the final 17 bouts of the 2019 edition of the National PAL Championships in Oxnard, Calif.

The day began with the conclusion of the 2019 National PAL Championships. 17 boxers were crowned champions and able to add a national title to their boxing resume. Six boxers were awarded Best Boxers of the Tournament at the conclusion of the session. The boxers were Diego Aviles (Anaheim, Calif.), Daisy Bamberger (Hayward, Calif.), Sa’rai Brown-El (Dallas, Ga.), Joel Iriarte (Bakersfield, Calif.), Sergio Martinez (Casper, Wyo.) and Alyssa Mendoza (Caldwell, Idaho).

The second session featured the final day of quarterfinal bouts for the elite boxers. 24 boxers advanced to tomorrow’s semifinal bouts, which will determine the final 2 boxers in each of the 13 Olympic weight classes that will punch their tickets to the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Boxing this December in Lake Charles, La.

The winners of each bout tomorrow will be guaranteed a spot in Louisiana, and will advance to Saturday’s championship bouts, which will be used to help determine seeding this December. All bouts will begin at 12:00 p.m. PT and can be followed on our free live stream by clicking here.
