Team USA Falls Short at Gee Bee Tournament

Team USA’s Freudis Rojas Jr. (Las Vegas, Nev.) and Marques Valle (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) fell short of advancing to the next round of competition at the 2019 Gee Bee Tournament in Helsinki, Finland.

Rojas Jr. faced 2018 Commonwealth Champion Patrick McCormack from Great Britain in the first round, while Valle lost an unanimous decision victory against Finland’s Aydin Behruz in his international debut.

Head Coach Billy Walsh (Colorado Springs, Colo.) is leading the American duo in Finland. The team will train for a few days until the conclusion of the tournament this weekend.
