Finalist Set for Championship Day for 2019 National Junior Olympics

The fourth day of boxing from Madison, Wisc. confirmed the finalists for tomorrow’s championship bouts at the 2019 National Junior Olympics, Prep Nationals and Youth Open.

The day began with the junior and youth male boxers boxing for their spot in the finale of the week-long tournament that saw over 750 boxers step into one of the four rings at the Madison Marriott West this week.

The day concluded with the pee-wee, bantam and intermediate male championship bouts, where over 30 boxers were crowned champions. Region 2’s Marcus Luther was named the Outstanding Bantam Boxer of the Tournament, while Region 1’s Jasir Junior was announced the winner of the Outstanding Intermediate Boxer of the Tournament.

Tomorrow’s final 40 bouts will begin at noon with junior female and male, as well as youth male boxers. USA Boxing will provide a free live stream of the session here, as well as stream the awards ceremonies that will follow the event.
