13 High Performance Boxers Depart Today for Multination Training Camp in Sheffield, England

13 members of USA Boxing’s Elite High Performance team departed for Sheffield, England today for a 12 day multination training camp with Belgium, Great Britain, Romania and New Zealand. A full roster can be seen below.

USA Boxing Head Coach Billy Walsh (Colorado Springs, Colo.), National Assistant Coach Kay Koroma (Colorado Springs, Colo.), as well as Tim Back (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Joe Guzman (Fountain, Colo.) will lead the Americans throughout the training camp, as the teams prepare for their respective upcoming World Championships in Russia.

The eight men taking part in the training camp will travel directly to Yekaterinburg, Russia for their World Championships, which will begin Sept. 7. The five women attending the training camp will return to the United States Olympic & Paralympic Training Center to join their remaining World Championships teammates before attending their final training camp in Germany. The Elite Women’s World Championships will begin Oct. 3 in Ulan Ude, Russia.
