LBC Board of Director Elections Update

Aug. 06, 2019, 12:30 p.m. (ET)

Local Boxing Committee (LBC) Board of Director elections will be held late November/early December this year for the term starting January 2020.

LBC elections are held every four years, with a new board in place at the beginning of each Olympic year.  December 2019 marks the end of the 4-year term for the current LBC board.

Below is a brief overview of how elections are conducted:

By no later than mid-September, we will send an email to all USA Boxing members 18 and over announcing the election.  This email will include:

  • A brief description of each board position’s main functions and responsibilities
  • An explanation of who is eligible to run for each position
  • An explanation of who is eligible to vote for which position(s)
  • An application/questionnaire for those members who are interested in serving on the board

Once we have all the candidates, we will send out the completed application/questionnaires to all voting members so they can learn a little bit about each candidate.

Voting will be done electronically by a third party.  Eligible voters will have 14 days to cast their vote.

Our goal is to announce the election results just before Christmas and the new board will take office January 1, 2020.
