Former USA Boxing President Sandy Martinez-Pino Passes

Former USA Boxing President Sandy Martinez-Pino passed away late September.


Pino was the first woman president of USA Boxing and was involved in the sport for many years. She worked for USA Boxing or for AIBA at four Summer Olympic Games, including the Los Angeles 1996 as a timekeeper, as well as helped supervise the sport’s new computerized scoring system in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.


USA Boxing will be forever grateful for all of Sandy’s contribution inside and outside the ring.


The services for Sandy will be today and tomorrow in Albuquerque, N.M. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
