Action Packed Second Day of 2018 Eastern Elite Qualifier in Chattanooga

Oct. 09, 2018, 9:07 p.m. (ET)

The second day of the 2018 Eastern Elite Qualifier & Regional Open Championships at the Chattanooga, Tenn. was filled with lots of action and boxing, with over 300 boxers entering one of the five rings set up at the Chattanooga Convention Center.

The first session of the day served as the semifinals for all female boxers, excluding the elite division. Over 20 female champions will be crowned by the end of tomorrow’s noon session, while the prep and junior male boxers will return to the ring tomorrow for either their quarterfinal or semifinal bouts.

The evening session saw all youth and elite male boxers return to the ring, as they boxed with hopes of continuing on to the next round of the tournament. Tonight saw numerous boxers make their transition to the elite division, all with hopes of punching their ticket to the 2018 USA Boxing Elite National Championships this December in Salt Lake City, Utah.

This year’s Eastern Elite Qualifier is serving as the final opportunity for elite boxers to advance to our National Championships, as well as made history as the largest number of boxers and coaches to attend one of our national tournaments.

Boxing will resume tomorrow with another two sessions, noon and 6:00 p.m., and you can catch all the action on our free live stream by clicking here.
